Phew. That was fast. A little shimmy here and there and just like that, January’s over. We’re even crawling into the second week of February already, which means this wrap up is late and kinda long overdue. But we’re doing it anyway, so lemme tell ‘ya how my reading went last month.

I pretty much had a really good start for 2018. Aside from being “on track” in my Goodreads Reading Challenge (yay!), this is actually the first time in a long time that I’m reading from diverse genres. I’ve never read historical fiction (ever!), so THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGObeing the first HF I’ve read, will always have a special place in my heart. Add that to the fact the it’s my first five-star read of 2018! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE is another good read this month, which is not surprising at all because it’s by the great Taylor Jenkins Reid – and you know what it’s like when it’s from TJR – nothing short of awesome. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Sadly, ALEX, APPROXIMATELY didn’t sit well with me. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a cutesy romantic YA. But with all the YA contemporaries I’ve read the past years, this book didn’t offer anything new that piqued my interest. 🌟🌟

Finally, my first NA read for 2018, ROOMIESalso happens to be my first 5-star-NA-read of the year. I buddy read this with Bea and Trish and we just can’t stop gushing over Calvin and Holland! OKAY, especially over Calvin.  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Anyway, that’s it. I know it’s not a lot but it’s a pretty successful reading month for me. 🙂 I’m now more inclined to explore other genres (especially  historical fiction and OMG non fiction?), and I’m bolder when it comes to trying other book formats (hello, audiobooks!).  I don’t know if February is going to be as eventful, but we’ll see. 🙂

How did you guys do with your first reading month of 2018? Hope you had fun as much as I did! 🙂
